Shay's Cafe, an East Coast, West Coast Eatery, is a creation of Shawn and Wendy Shay. Shawn grew up in Massachusetts living most of his years on the ever-so-simple and delicious East Coast subs. He remembers the sub shops being straightforward with no frills, no descriptive menus, and just great sandwiches. On the other side of the country, Wendy grew up in California eating fresh vegetables straight out of her father's garden. It was here Wendy developed a passion for the fresh foods of California.

The combination of Shawn's desire for good old fashioned East Coast subs and Wendy's California culinary experience is how Shay's Cafe an East Coast/West Coast Eatery came about.
